For the Committee to agree the Inquiry Report and recommendations

The Chairman thanked all those that had worked with the Inquiry Team in producing the report and providing information and evidence.

The Committee discussed the draft report and agreed the 8 recommendations.

Members were keen for an additional paragraph to be included in the "Findings" section of the report to acknowledge that there needs to be more work done to improve engagement so that Members can more easily hear the views of children and young people directly.

RESOLVED

1.    The Voice of the Child and Young Person Inquiry report was AGREED subject to the additional paragraph being added.

2.    That progress against the recommendations be brought to the Committee in 6 months’ time.
