     (a)     A416 Broad Street / Berkhamsted Road, Chesham

Following installation of the traffic calming scheme on A416 Broad Street / Berkhamsted Road, Chesham, the County Council received adverse comments about the “build-out” at the Police Station.  These comments, together with those raised through the safety audit process have suggested that as the feature does not provide any particular casualty reduction benefit, but does cause problems for some road users, it should be removed.
 

 
 

Therefore the County Council is going to remove the “build-out”, and return the road to its previous format.  It is expected that site work will be undertaken during January 2004.
 

 
 

(b)     Great Missenden Cemetery – Fees and Charges

Subsequent to the recent approval of the Fees and Charges for 2004/2005, it has been noticed that due to a minor error, one of the proposed charges for Great Missenden Cemetery is incorrect.
 

 
 

This relates to the charge for “the right to erect a headstone....or a foot stone...”. The figure shown in the report was “nil” when actually it should have been £122.
 

 
 

This amendment will be initiated with immediate effect.
