1.        DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

Councillor M B Oram declared a personal interest in that he knew a Governor at St Augustine’s School.

2,    ST AUGUSTINE’S CATHOLIC PRIMARY SCHOOL, DAWS HILL LANE, HIGH WYCOMBE

The Panel met to conduct a Hearing under s.17 of the Licensing Act 2003 for a premises licence in respect of St Augustine’s Catholic Primary School, Daws Hill Lane, High Wycombe.

Details of the application were submitted for the Panel’s attention.  It was noted that an objection had been received from a member of the public with regard to the application (details contained in the Appendix submitted), but that after negotiations between the applicant and the objector, amendments had been agreed between both parties.  The amendments referred to were detailed as under:

The request for any licensable activity on Sunday was withdrawn.

·

A condition inserted in the licence restricting any activities of the Jackie Palmer School of Dance to the following hours:-

o

16:15 hours to 21:30 hours - Thursday to Friday

o

08:30 hours to 16:30 hours on Saturdays.

·

Purely school activities to be permitted during the original requested hours (minus Sundays).

The Panel noted that in view of the negotiated agreement between both parties, neither of them considered it necessary to attend the Panel Hearing.

Members considered the application as amended with reference to the Council’s policy and to national guidance and were agreed that the application should be approved as amended.

RESOLVED: That the application for a premises licence at St Augustine’s Catholic Primary School be approved subject to the amendments outlined above.
