Thames Valley Police Minutes: PC Alex Payne from Thames Valley Police presented crime statistics for burglaries, thefts from motor vehicles, and shoplifting in the Beaconsfield & Chepping Wye Community Board area. Trends in crime during different seasons; the importance of high visibility patrols particularly to address persistent anti-social behaviour; raising awareness of community education using the Clear Car Campaign and Scam Awareness information and Police attendance at shoplifting incidents were discussed.
PC Alex Payne emphasized the importance of reporting all incidents no matter how minor, to the police by dialling 101 or reporting online https://www.thamesvalley.police.uk/ro/report/. Without reports from residents, the police cannot effectively address issues in the community.
Actions: • PC Alex Payne to find out if a social media awareness campaign to highlight the impact of reporting could be delivered by TVP. • PC Alex Payne to find out why domestic violence statistics were not included in the presentation and ensure they are mentioned in future reports. • Cllr Nathan Thomas and PC Alex Payne to follow up on Speed watch statistics and the outcomes of reported incidents for residents on Boundary Rd Loudwater. |

Presentation - Simply Walks PDF 7 MB To give an overview on who Simply Walks are, and the physical, mental, and social benefits of the service they provide. The walks available in Beaconsfield and Chepping Wye will also be presented and information on how to get involved. To be presented by Fiona Broadbent, Simply Walks Officer. Minutes: Fiona Broadbent, Simply Walks Officer provided an overview of Simply Walks which aims to improve physical, mental, emotional and social health and are a means of getting people together. Fiona highlighted the walks in the Community board area, how volunteering to supports the program and information on how to get involved.

To provide an update on applications received since the last meeting (included in the agenda pack).
To be presented by Caroline Green, Community Board Manager. Minutes: Cllr Catherine Oliver provided an update on the status of funding for the 2024-25 financial year. One project had been approved to date, with three pending, and emphasised the need to allocate the remaining budget to appropriate projects.
There are a couple of pre-apps and conversations which have the potential to develop into Community Board projects.
Jonathan Waters highlighted two separate potential projects with the Knotty Green allotments and Dementia Carers Respite to provide support for carers.
Cllr Sandy Saunders highlighted the Beaconsfield Community Association's Beacon EVT bursary fund.
How to promote the funding and target Town and Parish Councils was discussed. Cllr Sandy Saunders as Chairman of the South Bucks Association of Local Councils and Vice-President of the Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes Association of Local Councils offered to mention the funding and opportunities for potential projects to the County Executive Officer.

Action: • Cllr Catherine Oliver to follow up on the outstanding status of the double yellow lines highways projects. • Liz Charter to follow up on the Beaconsfield Community Association's Beacon EVT bursary fund application and provide an update to Sandy.

· Question Time: to respond to questions received – to be presented by the Chairman. Minutes: Liz Charter presented the Buckinghamshire Council update, including the national planning policy framework consultation, the new model for Community Boards, the library flex model, the local cycling and walking infrastructure plan, and the Money Matters survey.

Proud of Bucks 27 unique applications had been received for two out of the three categories. There were no nominations for the young person's category. Shortlisting would take place over the coming week. The Proud of Bucks Awards evening will be taking place on Thursday 29 November at 1820hrs – venue to be confirmed. |
