For the Chairman to appoint the Vice-Chairman of the Health & Adult Social Care Select Committee.

That the minutes of the meeting held on 10^th October 2024 be confirmed as a correct record.

The Health & Adult Social Care Select Committee’s letter and response from the Integrated Care Board in relation to post-operative wound care are attached.

Public Questions is an opportunity for people who live, work or study in Buckinghamshire to put a question to a Select Committee. The Committee will hear from members of the public who have submitted questions in advance relating to items on the agenda. The Cabinet Member, relevant key partners and responsible officers will be invited to respond.

For the Chairman to update the Committee on scrutiny related activities since the last meeting.

NHS in-patient mental health care in Buckinghamshire is commissioned by the Integrated Care Board and delivered by Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust.  In-patient services form one part of an overall mental health urgent care pathway.  There are four wards, based at the Whiteleaf Centre in Aylesbury.

The Committee will hear from Oxford Health representatives.

The Director of Public Health produces an annual report and the last annual report entitled “Mental Health Matters” was issued in December 2023.  It highlighted the importance of mental health for our health and wellbeing and outlined some key areas of recommendation.  This item provides the Committee with an opportunity to review the progress made in implementing these recommendations.
