South Central Ambulance Service

The South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) will discuss the likely impact of the consultation proposals on the Ambulance Service, including how working practices will be adapted to meet proposed changes, additional demands on services, increased journey times and training of staff.

Community Health Services

Community Services, including the Community Hospitals and Adult Community Healthcare Teams, are likely to play an increasingly important role in helping to prevent admissions to hospitals and reducing the length of stay in acute care.  The BHiB proposals include a strong role for community and integrated services.  Members will hear about the likely impact of the proposals on the work of community health services and how they will adapt working practices to ensure that services are in place to support patients in community settings and their homes.
