For Committee Members to discuss and agree the Rent-in-Advance Inquiry report.

Mr Lambert, Chairman of the Scrutiny Inquiry Group, started by thanking all the Members of the Inquiry Group and Mrs Wheaton who provided the officer support.

A discussion took place on the proposed draft report and recommendations. All members unanimously welcomed the report and recommendations to Cabinet.

Members also discussed the need to ensure that the report was shared with the LGA, the MJ and our MPs as well as all contributors to the Inquiry.

The Committee also wanted to ensure that gratitude was passed on to all contributors.

It was agreed:

1)    The Rent in Advance report and recommendations were agreed as a report of the FPR Committee.

2)    That the final report copy be shared with contributors, the LGA, the MJ and our MPs.
