To resolve to exclude the press and public from the meeting for the following agenda items pursuant to paragraph 4 of Part 1 of the Local Government (Access to Information) (Variation) Order 2006.

RESOLVED

That the press and public be excluded for the following item which is exempt by virtue of paragraph 4 of Part 1 of Schedule 12a of the Local Government Act 1972 because it contains information relating to any consultations or negotiations, or contemplated consultations or negotiations, in connection with any labour relations matter arising between the Authority or a Minister of the Crown and employees of, or office holders under the Authority.

The Committee discussed the results of the interview process for the role of the Executive Director, Children’s Services. Two candidates were interviewed and underwent a rigorous and challenging assessment centre process.

Committee members discussed the candidates in relation to the requirements for the role.

The Committee agreed unanimously that the preferred candidate, who should be offered the role of Executive Director (Children’s Services), in accordance with the delegated powers granted to this committee by Council, was Tolis Vouyioukas.

RESOLVED

1.          RECOMMENDED that Tolis Vouyioukas to be appointed to the post of Executive Director, Children’s Services.

2.          AGREED to offer the post on a salary that was within the salary range previously agreed for the recruitment process.
