WYCOMBE DISTRICT COUNCIL

Decision taken by Councillor David Carroll

Cabinet Member for Pathfinder and Partnerships

The Member has taken the following decision.

The decision will take effect on 27 July 2010.

Title

Biannual Review of Wycombe District Council’s Significant Partnerships

Decision Taken

That, following the biannual partnership review:

i) the Healthy Communities Partnership, Youth Services Forum and Community Cohesion Strategy Group be removed from the partnership register, as they are sub-groups of either the Wycombe Partnership and / or the Bucks Strategic Partnership;

ii) the Association of Councils of the Thames Valley Region (ACTVaR) and the Thames Valley Economic Partnership be removed from the register, as they have now ceased to exist; and

iii) to be included on the register, a ‘significant partnership’ must meet 2 of the following 3 criteria (formerly only 1 of the 3):

·

Is involved in policy development which impacts on the Council

·

Takes up to 50 hours per annum of WDC officer time or has funding allocated to it

·

Contributes to WDC’s 4 priorities

NB. By introducing iii) above, the Play Partnership, 4C Partnership and Wycombe Sports and Physical Activity Network are removed from the register.

Date of Publication

19 July 2010

Reasons for Decision

Following the biannual review and proposed alterations to the significant partnership definitions, it is noted that a number of partnerships no longer fulfil the Council’s criteria for significant partnerships.

Consultation Undertaken

Officers responsible for each partnership were tasked with completing a review

template, which was then shared with the relevant Cabinet Member before being passed on to Policy and Research for collation.
