The Member has taken the following decision. |
The decision will take effect on Wednesday 7 January 2009 |
Title |
Developer Contributions for Community Facilities (Hazlemere North and Hazlemere South Wards) |
Decision Taken |
To commit to release £57,815 (plus balance of interest) secured in connection with the planning application at the former Cedar County First Schools site, planning application reference 02/05859/FUL, to Hazlemere Parish Council for the construction of a community and sports pavilion provided that a material start on construction is made by 31 December 2009 |
Date of Publication |
Monday 29 December 2008 |
Reasons for Decision |
Currently, as per the terms of the Section 106 Agreement, the monies have to be spent by January 2009 or be committed for such expenditure by the Council. If the monies remain unexpended or uncommitted by January 2009, they have to be repaid to the developer. This decision will constitute a commitment and ensure that the expiry date on the monies is extended so they can still be used to benefit the Hazlemere community. |
Consultation Undertaken |
Initial consultation about the scheme was with Ward Member (Cllr Les Taylor and more recently Cllr David Cox), the Parish Council, Sport England, Hazlemere Sports Association, Head of Leisure Services (Paul Marston-Weston at the time) and members of the bowls club. |
