Decline to fund on the basis that a project grant was provided last year. With reserves of over £500,000 - a grant given in 2007/8 was used for one-off renovations – premises have been closed for much of 2007 and alternative arrangements have had to be made for kennelling strays.

Reasons for Decision

To provide funding for organisations operating within the District for the benefit of local residents.

Consultation Undertaken

Consultation was carried out in Spring 2007 with the wider voluntary and community sector.  Further consultation was carried out with the Infrastructure Services providers to amend systems following the review process.
