The Member has proposed the following decision:

Title

Private Sector Leasing via Investment Protection Management

 

Proposed Decision

To enter contract with Investment Protection Management for the provision of properties for leasing by WDC with approx 25 in the first 6-9 months at annual cost of approx £25,000 to £30,000 to be deducted from lease payments to landlords each month.

Reasons for Decision

To assist Council in meeting zero Bed and Breakfast target by 31.3.2004 and maintain zero as much as possible thereafter.

This decision falls within Standing Orders Page 3-58 Item 4 as follows:-

“Enabling and co-ordination action including land and property acquisitions and disposals for housing purposes not exceeding £500,000.”

 

Consultation Undertaken

A Government Directive states that there is a requirement to dispense with Bed and Breakfast accommodation by April 2004, therefore, no consultation has been carried out.
