Farm Diversification Advice Note

Decision:

That the final version of the Farm Diversification Advice Note be approved.

Reason for Decision:

The approval of the document will provide the district’s farmers with clear, concise planning advice on farm diversification opportunities and encourage positive communication between farmers and Wycombe District Council to promote successful diversification schemes.

Consultation Undertaken:

A sample of farmers and rural interest groups were consulted and a focus group of local farmers. The issue was also highlighted at the Rural forum.

Supplementary Planning Guidance on Community Facilities

Proposed Decision:

To adopt the final version of the Supplementary Planning Guidance on Community Facilities

Reason for Proposed Decision:

The adoption of the document as Supplementary Planning Guidance will provide clear, concise planning guidance to community groups and developers on securing, retaining and enhancing community facilities within Wycombe District.

Consultation Undertaken:

Formal consultation took place in July 2002, involving adjoining local authorities, community groups and Town and Parish Councils within the district.  Fifteen responses were received and, where appropriate, the comments included in the final version.

Recycling Banks for Plastic Bottles

Proposed Decision:

To negotiate an inclusive contract for the emptying of plastic recycling containers and onward transmission

Reason for the proposed Decision:

To expand the provision of recycling services in accordance with the Waste Strategy for Buckinghamshire.

Consultation Undertaken:

The Community was consulted in the preparation of the Waste Strategy for Bucks.  The budget preparation surveys in recent years have also indicated demand for this service along with the ‘Your Views’ postcards.

The Cabinet Member for Customer services is supportive of this proposal.
