To renew the lease with the existing tenant on
the terms agreed.
Reasons for the decision:
The terms of the lease renewal are in line
with the market. The proposed lease renewal will generate revenue
to support the delivery of the Council’s services and meet
the Council’s obligations under Section 123 of the Local
Government Act 1954.
Alternative options considered:
Not agreeing to the terms, may result in the
property becoming vacant and require remarketing the property. This
would not have achieved a higher rent and would have led to a
revenue loss.
