Regrant a contracted out 54 Act lease for the House and Buildings
at Huntsmoor Park Farm to Tenant for a term of 5 years commencing
on 18th November 2023.
Reasons for the decision:
The current tenant has been able to sub-let
the buildings on the holding in order to enable an above market
rent for the holding. It is recommended to renew for a term of 5
years following the previous 3-year term to enable greater security
for the sub-let units.
Alternative options considered:
The existing lease is due to expire on 17th
November this year. If the lease is not regranted the House and
Buildings would become vacant and need to be re-let which would
mean the sub-let units would also become vacant with the premium
rent being lost.
Shorter term agreements would lead to disinterest from tenants
leasing the buildings.
Wards Affected: Iver;
Details of any conflict of interest declared: There are no known conflicts of interest.
