To lease Land adjoining Aylesbury RFC (ARFC), Brook End, Western
Turville, Aylesbury to ARFC.
Reasons for the decision:
The Land comprises 0.69 acres (0.28 hectares)
of hard standing which is accessed from Brook End, Weston
Turville.
The Land was, until 31/03/2023, leased to Ringway Jacobs as part of
their Highways Service Contract with the Council. It is understood
that in the later years of the Service Contract the subject land
was not fully utilised.
The Land is not required for the current Highways Service
Contract.
ARFC, whose grounds immediately adjoin the Land, have approached
the Council on several occasions with regards using the land as
overflow car parking. With the expiry of the Highways Service
Contract, the Land being surplus to requirements and there being no
other obvious market for the Land.
