The Council approves the completion of the rent review memorandum
documenting the outstanding rent review effective on 25 March
2023
Reasons for the decision:
Carter Jonas have recommended settlement of
the rent review based on the available comparable evidence.
The terms of the rent review are in line with the market rent. The
proposed rent review will generate a revenue to support delivery of
the Council’s services and meeting the Council’s
obligations under Section 123 of the Local Government Act
1972
Alternative options considered:
To refer the rent review for
determination
by an arbitrator, but this would be costly with regards to the
level of fees involved.
