Decision:

To undertake a Statutory Consultation relating to the proposals to construct table-top junctions, raised tables, round-top speed humps, speed cushions and a chicane in Castlefield, High Wycombe, as part of the proposed traffic calming measures.

Reasons for the decision:

Statutory consultation in line with obligations under section 90c of the Highways Act 1980, section 4 of The Highways (Traffic Calming) Regulations 1999 and section 3 of The Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999.

Alternative options considered:

The project team does not progress with the project and instead returns the funding back to the capital pot for reallocation.
This would result in significant reputational damage to the Council's commitments as part of the Opportunity Bucks programme. Castlefield would not be traffic calmed in line with the objectives of the Leader of the Council, local community action group, members, and residents.
