To approve a new lease to NES for part 2nd floor.
Reasons for the decision:
The property is currently vacant. The terms of
the letting are in line with the market. The proposed letting will
generate a revenue to support delivery of the Council’s
services and meeting the Council’s obligations under Section
123 of the Local Government Act 1972.
Alternative options considered:
Not to let the space to NES. Council are
currently picking up all of the void costs and would continue to do
so. Proceeding with the lease ensures the tenant is covering the
void costs.
