Renew Grazing Licence for Land at Abbey and Deep Mill, Missenden.

Reasons for the decision:

The licence for land at Abbey and Deep Mill expires on 31st October 2023. All of the land will be required for tree planting purposes in autumn 2024 so in order for the Council to maintain management control, receive an income and continue to have the land occupied it is recommended to renew the licence with Mr R Copas until then.

Alternative options considered:

Another option is that the land is not let on a licence until the tree planting season, this would result in lost revenue and management issues with the land.
The land could be marketed to let for a year but any potential rent increases would be outweighed by the marketing and professional costs in advertising and re-letting the holding.

Wards Affected: Great Missenden;

Details of any conflict of interest declared: There are no known conflicts of interest.
