The Council approves the amount expenditure Carter Jonas have recommended is
required to refurbish the property following it becoming vacant in June 2023.

Reasons for the decision:

Carter Jonas hasrecommended completion of the works to maintain the
Councils’ asset and to assist in the marketing and reletting of the unit.
The proposed works will enhance the rental values achieved on reletting which will
generate a revenue to support delivery of the Council’s services and meeting the Council’s
obligations under Section 123 of the Local Government Act 1972

Alternative options considered:

To not complete the works which will result
in a depreciated asset and a lower rental income on the reletting.
