To agree the surrender of the original lease dated 21 October 2008,
and grant a new lease to another individual.
Reasons for the decision:
Carter Jonas have recommended a surrender and
regrant in order to secure the long-term security of rent for the
property.
This will continue to generate a revenue to support delivery of the
Council’s services and meeting the Council’s
obligations under Section 123 of the Local Government Act
1972
Alternative options considered:
To allow the tenant to continue to hold over,
meaning that the tenant could vacate at any time and leave the
council with a void period.
