Decision:
To establish the Buckinghamshire Domestic
Abuse Partnership Board.
Reasons for the decision:
The new Domestic Abuse Act 2021 requires that
Buckinghamshire Council, as part of its new statutory duty,
establish a Domestic Abuse Partnership Board.
Alternative options considered:
The establishment of the Board by the Council
is a statutory duty.
Consideration was given to assigning the role to another
established board - this option was rejected as no other board
would provide the membership as specified in the legislation, nor
the depth of focus that the Domestic Abuse Board
requires.
Details of any conflict of interest declared: None
