To introduce a U-Turn ban on the westbound
carriageway (towards Bicester) and determine the impact of this
restriction.
Reasons for the decision:
Following a fatal road traffic collision at
this location the use of the central turning facility has come
under scrutiny from residents, the police and the Network Safety
Team. The suggestion is to apply for an ETRO in order to monitor
the effects of the U-Turn ban and to assess if a corresponding ban
for eastbound traffic is required. This has complication with
possible confusion with the legitimate need for right turn traffic
into Tetchwick.
