That the Statement of Common Ground for the
Ashridge Commons and Woods Site of Special Scientific Interest
within the Chiltern Beechwoods Special Conservation Area Strategic
Access Management and Monitoring Strategy prepared jointly between
Dacorum Borough Council, Buckinghamshire Council, Central
Bedfordshire Council and St. Albans City and District Council is
agreed.
Reasons for the decision:
To ensure that the likely significant effects
of net new homes within the Ashridge Commons and Woods Site of
Special Scientific Interest 12.6 kilometre Zone of Influence can be
mitigated. This forms part for Ahridge Commons and Woods.
Alternative options considered:
To not agree this decision. This option would
mean that developers, the Council and the public would not benefit
from the ability to mitigate recreational disturbance from this
measure.
