Decision:
The Council grants Legal Services the
authority to exercise the break option set out in the lease dated
10th April 2019 in respect of the land known as site 1 Ship Street
High Wycombe.
Reasons for the decision:
The site is open storage space, which is
currently occupied under a lease that provides the Council with the
option to break it on giving 3 months notice. The Council is due to
sell the land as part of a larger disposal transaction to
Buckinghamshire College who will be redeveloping the
site.
Alternative options considered:
The Council could choose not to terminate the
lease, which would frustrate the larger disposal transaction to the
College that was granted Cabinet approval in March 2021.
