Decision:
To agree a Deed of Surrender of the Lease
between Buckinghamshire Council (legacy AVDC) and NHSPS (formerly
Buckinghamshire Primary Care Trust) for the former Berryfields
Medical Centre located at Colonel Grantham Avenue, Buckingham Park,
Aylesbury.
Reasons for the decision:
Buckinghamshire Council currently lease land
at Colonel Grantham Avenue, Buckingham Park to NHSPS for use as a
temporary Medical Centre. NHSPS have now found a permanent site for
the Medical Centre at Berryfields, Aylesbury and therefore the site
at Buckingham Park is no longer required for this use. The Council
and NHSPS have agreed to complete a Deed of Surrender to bring the
Lease to an end. The parties have agreed the required reinstatement
works and these will be completed by NHSPS prior to the Deed of
Surrender being completed.
Alternative options considered:
Not to agree a Deed of Surrender, however,
given the circumstances this is not an option. As NHSPS have
relocated the Medical Centre to Berryfields, they do not want to
renew the Lease at this site.
Wards Affected: Wing;
