Reasons for the decision:
Porters Lodge forms part of the wider Old
County Hall / County Court complex of buildings comprising 8
individual office suites over 3 floors. Over the last few years the
office suites have been used as flexible office / meeting space but
on the whole have been vacant. Kempton Carr Croft have been
marketing the property on a floor by floor or individual office
suite basis.
Alternative options considered:
The proposed use fits with the view that
Porters Lodge will remain as office accommodation in the
longer-term strategy. The only alternative would be to leave the
suites vacant.
