MAMA BEE UPDATE ON POP-UP YOUTH CAFE Mama Bee Minutes: Amber from Mama Bee gave an update on the
youth café project and how it moved to the park from Sept
18th there have been 6 sessions. It became apparent from
early sessions that there were many vulnerable young people
attending the provision. 12-15 age group seem more dysregulated and
more difficult to engage with due to a lack of understanding of
youth work and provision. As a result, they have decided to work
with young women in additional to the original offer. They would
like to regulate the space they work with young women with a
qualified youth worker for every 2 young people. Monica Bergh (Bucks Council) added that her
team are looking for a safe space for young people which could be
open 3 or 4 times a week.

OPPORTUNITY BUCKS WARD PARTNERSHIP Councillors Minutes: Cllr Gareth Williams introduced what Op Bucks is and explained the Ward of Chesham.
Cllr Williams explained the workshop and how key partners were coming together to discuss the priorities set for the Ward.

COMMUNITY BOARD UPDATES PDF 79 KB Ross Tackley Additional documents: Minutes: The Community Board Manager mentioned the current projects that the Community Board are working on.
There was an update on the Homes for Ukraine Scheme.
There was an update on the Community Board supporting the Opportunity Bucks Programme and an update on a youth project called ‘App-Ortunity Bucks’ whereby a computer app will be created for the use of the Community Board to manage stakeholder relationships and project tracking. |

Chesham Town Bucks Council updates
The Buckinghamshire Council
updates are circulated in the Agenda pack and give detailed updates
from across the different services in the Council. Minutes: Kevin Goad (Corporate Director for Chesham and Villages Community Board) gave some updates from Buckinghamshire Council (see list in the Agenda pack).
Kevin Goad referred to the current Bucks Council surveys that are live include the Money Matters survey. Your Voice Bucks - Citizen Space
Colin Sully (The Lee) raised a question to Kevin Goad on Brown Sites and a consultation process. Kevin will respond to Cllr Sully offline.
Cllr Jane MacBean referenced the Christmas Day Party (organised by Chesham Town Council) which is for the elderly and vulnerable residents and put a call out for volunteers.

BOARD DISCUSSION Cllr Emily Culverhouse
Updates from each board Member (Unitary Cllrs) Updates from each Parish Council (Parish Reps) Minutes: George from Chesham Youth Council came to the meeting to give updates about their latest projects and discussed their trip to Paris and looking at themes such as gender within schools. George further mentioned the Cygnet Youth Awards in Chesham and how they are running again next year.
Mark Rann from Chiltern Voice gave an update on the community radio station and an ask for more community engagement and more funding. Funding is key for the survival of the radio station.
Mark Rann also gave an update on the inaugural Chesham Fringe Festival taking place next May. The Community Board hope to be involved with the project and will look to contribute some funding towards the event.
Jenni Parker from Oasis Partnership gave an update about the new premises on Chesham High St and the new timetable.
Cllr Colin Sully (The Lee) gave an update on The Lee Parish Council’s dismay at the recent Boundary Review. They have lodged a stage 1 complaint with the boundary review and have moved to stage 2.
Cllr Sue Smith (Chenies) gave an update on Chenies Parish Council and referenced the footpath project. The main concern is speeding through the village.
Cllr Jennie Cahill (Ashley Green) gave an update on Ashley Green Parish Council. Jennie referenced the Outdoor Wellness facility in Ashley Green, and they may look to the Board for funding for pathing around the facility. Cllr Emily Culverhouse mentioned the Board Manager will be in touch to discuss this project.
