Points highlighted during discussion included:

  • Lots of young people with special educational needs- is there anything that partners can think of that we can do to support this?

Cllr Peter Cooper- Do we know where the young people came from?

Majority from Wing area but also some from Buckingham and Aylesbury too.

Linda (Wing PC) – Do Parish Councils have a hand in what Family Information Service do?

Useful to get feedback about what their parish needs. Covering the whole of Buckinghamshire (16 family centres) so need to address needs in each area.

Rosie (Edlesborough) – 4 MK play days in village green. Very well attended. Mainly under 11’s. It is more challenging funding wise though.

Jack- the event was an amazing event but if it were in different venues, including outdoor it would be more appealing and you would get more turnout.

Cllr Peter Cooper asked- how many fetes did the Community Board attend this summer? It would be ideal for getting involved in small communities. Cllr Diana Blamires supported this.

Arif asked if Jack might be able to survey his peers to see what they would like and how to get them more engaged?
