ePetition details

We the undersigned petition the council to request that a Formal Council Committee debate the refusal by Buckinghamshire Council to grant access rights over a small parcel of their land & to release a restrictive covenant on Land adjacent to Old Rectory Farm in Aston Clinton to permit the construction of a much needed Scout Hall (Ollie’s Hall) for the young people of Aston Clinton and the surrounding area.

Buckinghamshire Council has refused to grant access rights over a small parcel of land and the lifting of a restrictive covenant to a site for us to build our new Scout Hall (Ollie’s Hall). The decision has been made by individuals who refuse to give any justification for the decision. We strongly believe that this is not democratic and that the project should be properly considered at a Formal Council Committee meeting. Planning permission has been granted for the project now and the Council’s own Planning Department are clearly very supportive of the project as it is compliant with local and national planning policy. Local Parish Councils are supportive as are 2 out or 3 of the Unitary Councillors for Aston Clinton. The Council has also been offered £250,000 for the necessary access rights and the release of the Restrictive Covenant. We cannot understand why Buckinghamshire Council is blocking this community project.
