Petition details

We, the undersigned residents of Nicholas Gardens, High Wycombe petition Buckinghamshire Council regarding the entrance road to our 85 properties. This road is the only entrance to the housing development. The entrance road and pavements are continually obstructed by vehicles (including commercial and trade vehicles) on both sides and on the corners.

We are now unable to safety enter and exit our road due to insufficient width and fear of an accident. Some of our elderly residents are now so concerned that they do not leave the house at weekends when congestion is at a peak. The vehicles also block both pavements so pedestrians are forced to walk in the road which is hazardous, particularly as some residents have babies and small children in push chairs. The bins are also not being collected regularly due to the restricted access. We are concerned that emergency vehicles could be impeded. We request that the council provide bollards and double yellow lines on both sides of the entrance road to ensure ease of access for our residents whether they are driving, cycling or walking to their homes at all times.
