Aylesbury Garden Town Strategic Oversight Board

Description

Aylesbury was awarded Garden Town status in January 2017, offering a unique chance to ensure that as the town grows, Aylesbury and the surrounding area continues to be the best possible place to live work and visit.

The ambition is simple – to create truly desirable communities in a well-planned, sustainable environment that makes us proud. Garden Town status allows us to better plan for the future, and help us to access funding to help build and improve Aylesbury’s transport links and infrastructure.

The Aylesbury Garden Town Delivery Board has been established and has responsibility and authority for the overall delivery of the Aylesbury Garden Town project. It includes representatives from all our partner organisations; Aylesbury Vale District Council, Buckinghamshire County Council, Buckinghamshire Thames Valley Local Enterprise Partnership, South East Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership and Homes England, a government body that helps deliver new homes across the country.
